The Final Countdown

Since we truly have arrived at the single digits of days, (4 more days till the due date) soon going to be a family of four, here is a glimpse of what we have been up to the last month or so.
We have been pretty low key, especially the fact that I have been SO low in energy, but thank goooooooodness Luca is mister easy peasy and Marco has been my true anchor, and helping hand with school runs, grocery emergencies, putting on my shoes, pants... Momma's you know how it is!
We are of course beyond excited and curious to see our snuggle muffin. The anticipation is a killer! Even Luca wakes up every morning and asks about baby. Man oh man what will he be like as an older brother? I have an idea, now we just have to wait to see.
My heart is bursting already though.

The Scent of Summer is Fading

These, my dear friends are some of the last bits of summer this year, that only means, we'll be back next year excited as usual! A mamma and her two babes will be ready for what next years summers adventures will bring:)
I am writing this back home in Italy half asleep, with a yogurt stain on my belly. Welcome to 34 weeks pregnant. I am doing fine, just a zombie most of the time, i guess thats just preparing what I will feel like after our snuggle bug is born.
Its so nice though to be back with Marco and our flow of life back here. It wasn't easy on me or Luca being away from him for two months, but so thankful we get to be with my family for such a long time, then come home to our rock.
Luca has been on point with adjusting back to Italian life and pre-k beginning. Thank goodness he's at the same school with his same classmates. Made the transition to all day school days easier. I think its actually harder on me than him. Im that crazy mom that can't waits to pick up her boy, and spends the day distracting herself, like washing clean sheets or going out  to buy toilet paper, because 10 rolls are never enough.
no but on a serious note, I see my son maturing, maturing right in front of me, and I am teary eyed with pride, but also sad to think that time is such a precious thing, it comes and goes and you can never bring it back. All I want to do is protect him, and keep him under my wing, but i know he needs the world to fly in. Maybe I am getting all emotional because in less than two months he will not be my only child, he will not be my baby boy, and that too, scares me, all I can do is love on that boy and hope the change will be smooth. As of now he talk about baby with pride and kisses my belly overtime its in his face, which is honestly almost always.
I will get another post in before baby comes. which is soon. oh so soon we will have a little muffin to cuddle on. now there in one thing o am certain, Luca will snuggle on this baby like no other brother has. As long as baby looks like a stuffed animal. Luckily baby will be born in the cold months:)
